Some people prefer to work in the shadows of someone else. Yngve Henricsson was a mining engineer, mill owner, and a prominent person in Grythyttan. He was also close friend with Artur Lindqvist. While Artur was the one who held speeches and raised public opinion in the area, Yngve was the one who looked for facts and did all the research. Both were very active in Grythyttan’s Historical Association and wrote several books about the village. It was also these two companions who met Carl Jan Granqvist for the first time and gave him the chance to become the Innkeeper. The young Carl Jan considered Yngve and Artur to be somewhat like father figures and he lived, for a period of time, in the recent widower Yngve’s house.
