"Sweden at it´s best"

Late review but great memories! Häringe Slott is a unique 17th century castle with all modern amenities, including a (sic!) 1929 hand run bowling alley, pool room and a huge pool, all built by a former owner and millionaire for his own leasure. The beautiful little walk down to the swimming dock and wonderful sauna is worth a million. The restaurant terrace overlooks the pool and park and serves very well made Swedish specialties and classics. Our very comfy room was located in a tastefully renovated side building that might have been stables (?).
After business in Stockholm, we rejoiced and totally relaxed in this unusual and fantastic setting, where staff and management were very helpful and attentive. Their website doesn't lie!

"Wonderful castle life"

Our family gathered from 3 continents for ten days of togetherness in style, and we were not disappointed. Quite some couples were also there. Half an hour from Stockholm city, the setting of this beautifully renovated 17-18th century castle is simply stunning. Huge pool and 2 manual (yes!) bowling alleys from the late twenties, a beautiful little alley leading down to the waterside with its lounge area, big new sauna and wooden dock and a truly historical interior make Harringe unique. A spacious park surrounds. Service was friendly and unobtrusive, breakfast was top and meals enjoyable on the large terrace. A great get-away!
